Your Perfect Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution According to Your Zodiac Sign
This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked widespread excitement across the community. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the title's release, to trainers forming firm views on the full roster of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.
Given numerous of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique designs that emphasize their personalities, one thought came to mind: What's the best way to connect this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a blend of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
The Ram – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as they are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Super Houndoom appears as constantly angry, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, known for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes Aries far more akin to Super Camerupt, which only spews lava when provoked. Stay on the friendly side of both and benefit from a strong partner; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.
The Bull – Mega Heracross
Similar to a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross species, both in its standard and Super Form, has assisted many players in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unashamed passion for treats. Many previous official descriptions note their fondness for tasty tree sap and how it uses its horn to hoard it all, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Look at this absolute queen. It's impossible to tell me this Pokémon is not the life of every party, providing an constant stream of chatter to those who wants to hear. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very easy to envision Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire Wild Zone with their stories. Medicham’s official description also states its capacity to predict an opponent's next moves, which sounds very like a people-smart Twins.
Cancer – Super Manectric
The Crab is widely regarded as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate sign known for often becoming absorbed in their emotions. Per the official info, Super Evolution fills the creature with a “huge amount of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a typical Crab emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also known for its capability to make a storm cloud over its very head – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is going to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
The Lion – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was going to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be far too on the nose, The Lion is obviously Super Starmie, the diva whose gams just went viral for being too glamorous (or terrifying, depending on your preference). Players were captivated from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the identical energy a Lion brings to the scene. Starmie is also said to be transmitting radio waves from its red core out into space, and it’s just like a Lion to be putting on a show, albeit for aliens.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol famous for being endearingly critical is strongly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a always shocked face like a Maiden when you inform them you don’t have a 401(k), to its upside-down visage that’s just like the symbol a Maiden posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a plan.
Libra – Super Audino
Observe this sweet, empathetic being, who employs the feelers on its ears to tell how others are feeling by their pulse. Consistently compassionate – occasionally to a fault – and striving to keep the harmony, there are many Scales who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s abilities. Though, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to worry even more about others.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it became consciousness through sheer resentment and swore revenge on its former owner. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That seems exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal match with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Each Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always staging a show. As a Archer myself, the amount of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “silly small jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “poses to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer match I can think of.
Capricorn – Super Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the ability to foresee calamities ahead of time? That exudes the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who often consistently think they’re right. Interestingly, much like a visionary Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very initial Mega Evolution that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.
The Water Bearer – Mega Chandelure
Aloof air sign Water Bearer is possibly the non-fire sign that is most like a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable partners in crime. Super Chandelure's double Spirit/Flame category matches perfectly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you weren’t already persuaded, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “draws in hatred and converts it into strength.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
