The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in an LA Traffic Collision
The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in the state of California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.
The renowned industry figure died after his car crashed and caught fire on a motorway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and we stand with his family and friends, his family, and everyone impacted by his work," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
