Oscar-Nominated Star Diane Ladd, Known For Her Performance in Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, Dies at Age 89.

The star, with roles spanned National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, passed away at home in Ojai, California. This announcement was announced via an announcement shared by her daughter, award-winning actress Laura Dern.
Laura Dern, who performed alongside her mom in various films such as Rambling Rose, described her as “my amazing hero plus my special gift being my mom”, stating that she was present when she passed.
“She was the greatest mother, daughter, grandmother, actress, artist as well as compassionate soul that only dreams could have seemingly created,” she expressed. “We were fortunate to know her. She is flying with her angels now.”
Beginnings and Major Success
Her initial acting years saw minor parts in television programs like Perry Mason and the seventies saw her starring alongside actor Jack Nicholson in the film Chinatown.
